The Laco Neapel 39 takes the classic Type A Flieger layout and does something unexpected with it-orange. Named after the city of Naples, it brings a warmth and energy to the flieger format that the standard black dial models deliberately avoid. The orange and black color scheme is bold enough to turn heads but executed with enough restraint that the dial stays clean and highly legible. Orange on a flieger dial shouldn't work as well as it does here. The Type A layout keeps the structure clean and historically grounded, and the orange accents give it a vibrancy that transforms the watch without undermining its aviation credentials. It sits in an interesting position in the lineup because it's more characterful than the standard Augsburg, less avant-garde than the Blaue Stunde, and entirely its own thing. The black riveted leather strap is exactly the right call, anchoring the color without competing with it. If you've been through the Laco lineup and found everything else a little too restrained for your taste, the Neapel is the answer.
