These terms govern the trade-in program offered by Smallseconds Watch Reviews & Store ("Smallseconds," "we," "us," "our"). By submitting a trade-in request, you agree to these terms.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, a resident of the United States, and the lawful owner of the watch you submit, with the full right to sell or trade it.

2. Watches we accept

We consider most brands, but we accept only complete watches that include their original box and papers. There are rare exceptions where we may offer a trade on timepieces missing either box or papers. We reserve the right to decline any watch at our sole discretion, including any item we are unable to authenticate or value, and we may limit or decline higher-value and luxury pieces.

3. Estimates are not final offers

Any value we provide based on your photos and description is a non-binding preliminary estimate only. Your final offer is determined solely after we physically inspect the watch.

4. Your representations and warranty

By submitting a watch, you represent and warrant that: (a) you are the lawful owner and have the right to sell or trade it (b) the watch is authentic and not counterfeit (c) it is not stolen and is free of any lien, security interest, or third-party claim and (d) it is accurately described, including its condition and completeness. You agree to provide a valid government-issued photo ID and the watch's serial number upon request.

5. Sending your watch

If you accept your preliminary estimate, we will provide a prepaid, insured, trackable shipping label. You are responsible for packing the watch securely. The watch remains your property until we issue store credit; loss or damage that occurs in transit is covered by the insurance on the label we provide, subject to the carrier's terms.

6. Inspection and final offer

Upon receipt, we inspect the watch. If it is authentic and materially matches your description, we confirm the final offer and issue store credit. If the watch differs in condition, completeness, or authenticity, we may revise the offer. You may accept the revised offer or request that the watch be returned, subject to Section 7.

7. Returns and misrepresentation

If we decline a watch that is authentic and lawfully owned, we will return it to you. If a watch was materially misrepresented, return shipping is your responsibility and may be deducted from any credit owed. If a watch is determined to be counterfeit, we will not return it; counterfeit items may be retained and/or reported to the appropriate authorities as required by law.

8. Store credit

Trade value is issued as Smallseconds store credit, redeemable toward anything in our store. Store credit does not expire and carries no fees. It is non-refundable and is not redeemable for cash, except where required by applicable law (including, for small remaining balances, under Washington law).

9. Transfer of ownership

Once we issue store credit for a watch, ownership of that watch transfers to Smallseconds Watch Reviews & Store.

10. Identity and records

To comply with applicable law and to deter fraud and the trafficking of stolen goods, we may require a government-issued photo ID and will record watch serial numbers and seller information. This information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

11. Changes to the program

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the trade-in program, or update these terms, at any time.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
